Starting in 2015/16, SEK-Catalunya offers Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) and Baccalaureate students the chance to take part in the prestigious Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award (DofE).

An all-round personal development programme focussing on the development and training of abilities such as:

  • Leadership
  • Confidence
  • Self-reliance
  • Decision-making
  • Team work

These are open air activities that take place in the school’s woodland, but the programme includes expeditions and camps where students put everything they have learnt into practice.

Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award:

  • Begun in 1956, established in 180 countries
  • Over a million students have strengthened their talents thanks to it
  • The Duke of Edinburgh’s award is highly prestigious at an international level: young people who have taken part in it are valued more highly by the most renowned universities in the world and by large multinational companies.
